The Clonico Salix Core 2 Quad is a desktop computer intended for basic computing tasks, document management and applications compatible with GNU/Linux. It features an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 processor running at 2.66 GHz., together with 4 Gb. DDR3 RAM, an older configuration that is better suited to lightweight software than intensive multitasking or demanding modern applications. It includes a 500 Gb. SATA drive, providing space for documents, programs and personal files. It comes with Ubuntu GNU/Linux, an operating system that allows users to work with open-source tools and compatible applications. A DVD-RW drive is included for reading and writing optical media. Its nVidia GeForce 210 graphics card with 1 GB GDDR3 provides dedicated graphics capability for basic visual tasks, provided that the drivers and software used are compatible. For expansion, it features 2xPCIe X16, one occupied, 2xPCIe X1 and 2xPCI, allowing compatible cards to be installed.
